The exhibition sub-version explores ideas of subverting the images and ideals of corporate lifestyles, logos, advertising, media, and image production to further understand the influence of corporate structure on our culture and life. It’s no secret that multi-national corporations have infiltrated the government through lobbying and campaign contributions and influence the direction of the planet. sub-version is an exhibition that explores the idea of corporate culture and how it affects visual art, culture, ideas, thought, and society. Included are unique visual expressions that comment on the area of corporatization. Subtlety of artistic expression is favored over more overtly sensationalistic or political statements in the selection of works to be exhibited. Negative and positive connotations are investigated to examine the far-reaching impact of corporate culture on world culture through artistic works.
